About David Soeharto
My name is David Soeharto and I am a qualified Acupuncturist. I trained at the renowned London College of Traditional Acupuncture and Oriental Herbal Medicine (LCTA) in London for five years. The acupuncture degree course is validated by the University of Portsmouth and accredited by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board (BAAB).
I am fully covered by public indemnity and liability insurance to practise acupuncture. I am also licensed by the Kingston Council.
I practice a style of Japanese acupuncture which follows the work of Dr. Yoshio Manaka's Yin and Yang Balancing Channel Therapy. The clinical diagnosis features palpation, especially of the abdominal region. The treatment methods are described in a systematic four step approach with typical, alternate and a variety of back up treatment methods and strategies for each step.
Dr Manaka's comprehensive and structured approach applies fundamental principles of yin and yang to the treatment process. It is a four step protocol which treats both the root (underlying imbalance) and branch (presenting conditions). With this system, tight tender points on the abdomen and back are released, enabling the body to return to a more harmonious state of balance and well being.
Alongside acupuncture I also use 'Sotai' (Japanese realignment and stretching techniques) exercises in order to help patients regain good health.
